We had a tough time choosing and we sincerely hope those that didn’t make it this year apply again next year or at least keep in touch as you continue your film and video careers! Who wants to work for TAG this summer? Here’s the downlow and a download:

Spring has arrived early and so have applications for the 2012 TAG Summer Internship. For those who are unclear: Through A Glass Productions (TAG) is a full-service film and video production and post-production working with clients in the Lawrence, Kansas City, and Topeka areas, as well as nationwide. I’ve been in factories, visited government offices, worked on film sets, and seen our work at festivals all in the past month. Always something new.

TAG is looking for a part-time intern to work these summer months. You’ll get exposed to the best camera equipment available now, a full grip and lighting package, learn set etiquette, maybe have some fun (if time). We’re looking to beef up our personal project quotient this year, so you may be in luck.

For your part: we want somebody enthusiastic and responsible, who is punctual and neat. Someone we can talk about movies with and is interested in the work involved with making them. Experience and/or education in filmmaking is a plus, but not a prerequisite. Please – let us know if there is a particular area of production that interests you. Our only stipulation this year is you must have graduated high school by the end of May 2012.

To be clear, this is a paid position, though I wouldn’t put a downpayment on that faberge egg. It’s also part-time, probably 10-20 hours per week, maybe more depending on our workload. Our plan is to start mid-May through late August. We can be flexible to a certain degree, so put any conflicts you have down on the last sheet.
Finally, applications are DUE MAY 4. You can turn it in after that, but we don’t have to look at it.
